Environmental Policy
For over 100 years we have been reclaiming garments and textile waste and manufacturing these into new products.
In March 2019 we achieved Zero Waste to Landfill accreditation out our Snuggledown site, we’re now looking forward to reaching our next targets:
Carbon Net-Zero business
John Cotton Group is engaged with delivering Net Zero GHG emissions by 2040.
In 2021 our Carbon emissions related to energy (Scope 1&2) fell by 48% vs 2015. An extensive list of initiatives has been undertaken to reduce our Carbon emissions, including:

Switched to 100% bought renewable energy and implementing solar initiatives across the group.

Using more recycled materials across manufacture and packaging

Introducing electric and HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) vehicles across the business.

Challenging our suppliers across the globe to support our mission to reduce waste
Packaging Pledge

We pledge:

All packaging now contains a minimum of 30% recycled content.

First to market with packaging materials derived from sugarcane.

100% of paper packaging to be sourced from sustainably managed forests by the end of 2022.

Reduction in single use packaging across premium ranges in favour of reusable packaging and bags.
